Euro area inflation slips to 2.2% in March; EU rate at 2.5%: Eurostat
Euro area annual inflation eased to 2.2 per cent in March 2025 from 2.3 per cent in February, while EU inflation fell to 2.5 per cent from 2.7 per cent, Eurostat reported. France recorded the lowest rate (0.9 per cent) and Romania the highest (5.1 per cent). Inflation declined in 16 Member States. Services contributed most to euro area inflation, while energy had a slight deflationary effect.
