Error in Introductory Prevalence Data

In the Research Letter titled “Florida’s Red Flag Gun Law and Firearm and Nonfirearm Homicide and Suicide Rates,” published July 3, 2024, the prevalence of shooting fatalities was overstated. The first paragraph has been updated to read, “Firearm homicides are a leading cause of death in the US among individuals younger than 44 years, with more than 21 000 injuries and deaths overall from mass shootings between 2014 and 2022.” This article was corrected online.
