Emmerson draws first tranche of litigation, working capital funds
Morocco-focused potash development company Emmerson has drawn down the first tranche of funding under the Capital Provision Agreement (CPA), which will provide the company with up to $11-million in both litigation finance capital and working capital. The company in January signed a CPA with a specialist litigation funding firm to provide it with litigation finance capital and working capital, to be used primarily to progress its dispute with the Moroccan government under the agreement between the government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the government of the Kingdom of Morocco for the promotion and protection of investments, which entered into force on February 14, 2002, being a bilateral investment treaty.
