[Comment] Clopidogrel use in chronic coronary syndrome: a fragile lifelong choice

Low-dose aspirin is the traditional drug of choice in patients with chronic coronary syndrome, with or without previous myocardial infarction.1,2 Current European guidelines for the management of chronic coronary syndrome strongly recommend the use of clopidogrel monotherapy (75 mg daily) as a safe and effective alternative to aspirin monotherapy in patients with chronic coronary syndrome with a previous myocardial infarction or remote percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).2 There is an increasing body of evidence supporting this recommendation.
