China’s Q1 cross-border RMB transactions with Cambodia, Malaysia up
China saw a rise in cross-border RMB transactions with Cambodia and Malaysia in Q1 2025. Such transactions between China and Cambodia amounted to 5 billion yuan (~$693 million) in Q1—up by 45 per cent YoY; of that, transactions for trade in goods totalled 1.3 billion yuan—a 23-per cent YoY rise. Such transactions between China and Malaysia amounted to 102 billion yuan in Q1—up by 27 per cent YoY.
