A Beauty Breakdown Of The 2025 Met Gala’s Biggest Stars

Every first Monday in May, the Met Gala red carpet transforms into a visual playground of high fashion and even higher glamour, and this year, the beauty looks were nothing short of showstopping. From high-voltage hair to next-level skincare prep and iconic makeup looks, the 2025 Met Gala proved that beauty is just as integral to the fashion statement as the outfits themselves. Below, we spotlight the celebrities who shut down the carpet and the pros (and products) behind the looks.

Jenna Ortega stepped onto the carpet looking like a vintage siren reimagined for 2025, thanks to celebrity hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez and his genius collaboration with Rizos Curls. The result? Voluminous, sculpted waves with just the right amount of edge—glamour without the stiffness. A celebration of texture, movement, and timelessness.

Cesar crafted the look using only Rizos Curls products, including the brand-new Strong Hold Gel, which helped lock in the dramatic structure of Jenna’s finger waves while still letting her natural texture shine. From the bombshell volume to the effortless texture, Jenna’s look was proof that hair can steal the show.

How Cesar achieved Jenna’s Met Gala waves:

  • Prep damp hair with a few drops of Nourish Oil on cleansed hair and scalp.

  • Apply Heat Protection Multivitamin Leave-In from roots to ends and smooth with a medium-sized round brush.

  • Take 1-inch sections, mist with Volumizing Alcohol-Free Hairspray, curl each section, and pin into place.

  • Once set and cooled, release curls and gently backcomb to form structured S-waves.

  • Sculpt the hairline using Strong Hold Gel and small pin curl clips, then set with a light blow dry.

  • Release pins, sculpt the desired shape, and finish with another mist of Volumizing Alcohol-Free Hairspray.

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeney turned heads in a dramatic black beaded gown, but it was her ethereal “Light Suede Blonde” hair color that had the beauty world buzzing. Celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz gave her strands a sculptural glow, blending cool mink and soft suede tones with natural depth and shine.

Using Schwarzkopf Professional, Schwartz painted a multi-dimensional blonde with IGORA VARIO BLOND Super Plus for a gentle yet effective lift and IGORA VIBRANCE for richness and refinement. The final look? Blonde, but elevated—less beachy and more bespoke.

Color breakdown by Jacob Schwartz:

  • Lift achieved with IGORA VARIO BLOND Super Plus for clean brightness without compromising the hair.

  • Depth and gloss added using IGORA VIBRANCE, creating a custom tone that enhanced Sydney’s natural features while complementing her couture moment.

Emma Chamberlain

Emma Chamberlain dazzled with a modern take on ice-queen chic, thanks to her pristine White Gold Blonde hue that was the epitome of cool, clean glamour. Colorist Anthony Vincent refreshed Emma’s look using Schwarzkopf Professional, pushing the envelope with a glistening tone that danced under every flashbulb.

Vincent leaned into precision with BLONDME 9+, his go-to for maximum lift while preserving hair health. For toning, he used IGORA VIBRANCE, specifically mixing shades 10-12 and 10-5 to create a luminous pearl finish without over-toning.

Anthony Vincent’s formula for Emma’s perfect blonde:

  • Lift: BLONDME 9+ + 7 vol developer, applied “low and slow” for integrity and control.

  • Tone: IGORA VIBRANCE 10-12/10-5, a favorite combo to avoid brassiness and leave a radiant sheen.

  • Pro Tip: “Adding a little 10-5 helps neutralize overly ashy tones while keeping it fresh and clean,” says Vincent.
