With a focus on adapting to new technologies, the event will cover key topics such as omnichannel retail, AI, sustainability, and workforce management.

Attendees can expect valuable insights from top industry leaders, including:

  • Archie Norman, chairman of Marks & Spencer, on M&S’s ongoing transformation, sustainability efforts, and omnichannel strategy.
  • Theo Paphitis, cwner of Theo Paphitis Retail Group and former Dragons’ Den investor, offering his perspective on retail success.
  • Joe Wicks MBE, The Body Coach, on how social media has helped him connect with consumers and build a brand.

  • Andrew Xeni, founder of Nobody’s Child, discussing how startups are challenging the traditional retail landscape.

Archie Norman commented: “I am thrilled to be speaking at the UK’s largest retail event and sharing the story of how we are reshaping M&S under the new leadership team.

“It is an exciting opportunity to delve into our pioneering work in sustainability, our drive to deliver omnichannel experiences and how we are redeveloping to build more personalised customer relationships. In a perpetually changing world, I look forward to discussing how to rejuvenate great retail brands, turnaround businesses and create engaged workforces.”

In addition to keynote talks, RTS 2025 will also feature live demos of the latest retail technologies and tools designed to streamline operations and enhance customer experiences.

AI will once again play a central role, with a full day dedicated to how retailers are implementing AI solutions, transitioning from theory to real-world results. “Last year we discussed AI’s potential; this year, we’ll see its impact,” says RTS founder Matt Bradley.

Kingfisher AI director Mohsen Ghasempour will also be speaking on the realities of AI integration.

Speaking to Retail Gazette, he highlights the challenges of legacy systems, advising businesses to gradually migrate to more modern infrastructure to fully leverage AI’s potential.

On the impact of AI on jobs, he emphasises its role as an enabler rather than a threat: “AI won’t replace people, but people using AI will replace those who don’t.”

He also stresses the importance of AI governance, noting that Kingfisher has established a dedicated AI committee to ensure ethical implementation.

Speaking to Bradley ahead of the event next week, he promises an exciting and vibrant RTS 2025 centred around a carnival theme.

“We wanted something full of life and surprises,” he says.

Bradley also notes that RTS 2025 is built around three pillars: education, networking, and sourcing, helping attendees gain practical insights and connections.

Finally, with numerous trade shows witnessing unprecedent crowds, he reassures that crowd management is a priority.

“We’ve got a strong team in place to ensure everything runs smoothly,” he says, aiming for an seamless experience for all attendees.
