Universal Measurement Protocol and Cell Designs for Liquid-Based Active Cooling by the Electrochemical Peltier Effect (Adv. Energy Mater. 12/2025)

Electrochemical Peltier Effect

Entropy change induced by redox reaction is used for active cooling of the electrode. The maximum temperature change of 0.55 K is observed after optimization of the electrochemical cell and the measurement method. A theoretical model which simulates the temperature change is proposed.
