Tribunal approves ACP's buyout of DRA Global, with conditions

The Competition Tribunal has conditionally approved the proposed merger in which Apex Capital Partners (ACP) intends to acquire DRA Global. Upon implementation, ACP will gain sole control of DRA Global.   The tribunal’s approval is subject to public interest conditions relating to employment and a greater spread of ownership.   The acquiring group – ACP, its controlling entities and the firms controlled by those entities – operates in the industrial sector. Its operations include providing capital equipment for the mining, construction and quarrying industries; supplying aftermarket spare parts and ground engaging tools; and offering equipment, spares, service and aftermarket maintenance for boiler cleaning and materials handling systems.   DRA Global is a multinational consulting engineering firm. It offers technical, project and operational support services to clients in mining, infrastructure, mineral processing, plant design and construction.
