Transcriptomic Profiles in Nasal Epithelium in Youth With Asthma—Reply

In Reply We thank Dr Ma and colleagues for their interest in our study. In 2 studies of bronchial epithelial samples from adults with asthma, Choy et al and Diver et al demonstrated that differential expression of 8 signature genes for T2 and T17 immune responses identified 3 mutually exclusive profiles: T2HIGH, T17HIGH, and T2LOW/T17LOW. We replicated those 3 transcriptomic profiles by analyzing differential expression of the same 8 signature genes in nasal epithelial samples from youth with asthma.
