The Perfume Shop has reported record-breaking sales over the two weeks leading up to Father’s Day, with over 248,000 bottles sold — marking a 10% year-on-year uplift.

The Perfume Shop has reported record-breaking sales over the two weeks leading up to Father’s Day, with over 248,000 bottles sold — marking a 10% year-on-year uplift.
The UK’s largest specialist perfume retailer said the figure was equivalent to 12 bottles sold every minute, as fragrance remains a top gift choice for the occasion.
In-store purchases drove the majority of sales, accounting for 69% of transactions — up 9% year-on-year — while online sales also rose by 13%. The combined performance helped lift total sales by 10% compared to the same period in 2024.
Shoppers also spent more per purchase, with average spend climbing to £66.99 — up 2% on last year.
Top-selling scents included Boss Bottled, Rabanne Invictus Victory, YSL Myself and Dior Sauvage, with new launches like Boss Bottled Citrus and Montblanc Explorer Extreme also proving popular.
Northern Ireland saw the biggest regional uplift in sales, up 12.6%, followed by Scotland at 11.2%.
The retailer also noted strong demand for personalisation, with over 1,400 bottles engraved and more than 18,000 personalised ribbons sold in the two-week period.
The Perfume Shop’s trading director Andrea Rickard said: “Perfume remains a timeless gift for Father’s Day, and 2025 was no exception. We saw a strong mix of customer favourites making the top seller list, from iconic heritage scents to exciting new launches that really resonated with shoppers this year.
“We’ve also seen a growing number of consumers opting to make their gifts even more meaningful through our engraving and personalised ribbon services. These small touches go a long way in turning a great gift into something truly special and unique.
“Tools like our ‘Fragrance Finder’ continue to be a go-to for shoppers who want guidance or inspiration when browsing for the perfect gift. We also introduced a number of exclusive offers and great value bundles this year, which many shoppers took advantage of to treat their father figures, or themselves!”
