Screwfix has updated its Sprint service to deliver thousands of products in as little as 20 minutes.
The move means customers can order from the 8,500 products on the retailer’s app and have them delivered in just over a quarter of an hour – less than the 60 minutes timeframe it had previously.
Screwfix Sprint, which launched in 2021 now serves 58% of the UK, with almost 80,000 customers using the delivery service, the retailer said.
It added that its most popular store locations for deliveries was across London, with many shoppers ordering rubble sacks, junction boxes and plugs.
Screwfix managing director Max Britten said: “Time is money for our busy tradespeople. Our customers tell us how important it is to stay on site and not lose hours in the day stuck in traffic.
“This year, over 15,000 customers have used Screwfix Sprint for the first time, and we know what a valuable service it has become for tradespeople.
“We’re continuing to expand the service further so that we can provide the ultimate convenience to the trade.”
Screwfix is ramping up the expansion of its City small-format stores as it plans to open up to 35 more outlets across the UK and Ireland by the end of January 2026.
The new shops, which will create more than 400 jobs, will be located in higher footfall areas and offer a range of more than 3,000 essential products via click and collect, with an additional 48,000 items available online for next day collection.
