A company composed of hardcore technologists from NASA, robotic engineers from MIT and maritime experts such as Paul Bieker have come together to an industry that was long due for disruption.
“Our goal was to rethink the industry from the ground up, with the technology that’s now available, we are looking at what’s happening in the air to see what they can be for maritime,” Navier CEO Sampriti Bhattacharyya said.
The CEO went on to explain how rethinking vessels means designing boats that are not only more efficient but also more comfortable and scalable for widespread use. Unlike a traditional boat, the N30 Pioneer Edition does not push water resulting in less hydrodynamic drag or less energy needed when the body is out of water.
Due to the structure of this masterpiece, it is 10x more cost effective to operate than a gas boat. These new vessels are so efficient that their operational costs are just one-tenth of traditional gas-powered boats. But wait, here’s the cherry on top—this boat glides above the water, meaning no pounding against the waves and no seasickness! Just a smooth, effortless ride where you can sip your champagne without a spill while soaking in the sunset.
This breakthrough doesn’t just revolutionize personal watercraft; it unlocks an entirely new transportation network and a fresh economy built around sustainable, high-performance boats. Made in America, these vessels are setting the stage for a future where waterborne transport is cleaner, more accessible, and economically viable on a large scale.
Head-Turning Design

The Navier N30 had the heads of yacht guests turning at the Palm Beach International Yacht Show. The moment spectators caught a glimpse of the cutting-edge technology, a sea of screens rose in union to capture the flying boat.
“Why push water, when you can fly above the water?” Navier CEO Sampriti Bhattacharyya said.
As more and more vehicles go electric, Navier is here to ensure that boats are no exception. This pioneering vessel utilizes hydrofoil technology, allowing it to “fly” above the water’s surface, drastically reducing drag and energy consumption. With its carbon fiber hull and advanced flight control system, the N30 offers unparalleled efficiency and range for an electric boat.
Transforming Maritime Travel
Navier’s groundbreaking approach is revolutionizing the boating industry. By leveraging electric propulsion and hydrofoiling technology, the N30 provides a smooth, quiet ride while significantly reducing operational costs and environmental impact. While Haute Living took a spin, the ride was so quiet that we could chat as effortlessly as if we were indoors—something unheard of in a traditional gas-powered boat of this size. This innovative vessel represents a crucial step towards sustainable, high-performance maritime transportation.
“No noise, no wakes disturbing biodiversity, and no one’s holding on for dear life while going through chops,” Bhattacharyya said.
For voyagers this looks like no spillages, mess or troubles hearing while cruising on Navier’s Pioneer Edition. Leaving no wakes behind, it can foil at various depths, making it an easy form of transportation to the Bahamas or beach with its high technology, futuristic user interface.
The Who’s Who of Boats

By pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on water, this high-performance boating is capturing attention from tech enthusiasts to naval authorities alike. This is capturing all the attention from Silicon Valley to West Palm Beach, where everyone who was anyone needed to understand the spectacle before them.
Luckily for you, Haute Living got the breakdown on how Navier’s four-year production realization came to life.
Hydrofoil Design: The N30 is equipped with retractable hydrofoils—wing-like structures mounted beneath the hull—that lift the boat above the water’s surface as it gains speed. This design significantly reduces chops, allowing for smoother and more efficient travel.
Electric Propulsion: Powered by two 90 kW electric motors, the N30 achieves a top speed of 35 knots. It offers battery configurations of 85 kWh or 114 kWh, providing ranges of approximately 45 to 75 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 20 knots.
Flight Control System: The boat features an advanced control system that manages the hydrofoils, ensuring stability and a smooth ride by automatically adjusting to wave conditions and other environmental factors.
Maneuverability: The N30 incorporates joystick controls for precise movements, including lateral and rotational maneuvers, facilitating easy docking and navigation in tight spaces.
“It’s just like a magic carpet.” Bhattacharyya says. “Once you enjoy the ride in it, it’s hard to go back to a normal boat.”
How do you get your hands on the chance to take a ride on this magic carpet? Navier offers a limited number, as they wrap up delivery for 2024 Pioneer Edition available exclusively through an invite-only purchasing system. Interested buyers can request an invitation via their website.
