Lipid Nanoparticle-Mediated CRISPR-Cas13a Delivery for the Control of Bacterial Infection (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 7/2025)

Bacteria-Targeting Lipid Nanoparticle

In article 2403281, Dajeong Kim, Choong-Min Ryu, and co-workers develop a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) that can penetrate bacteria and deliver nucleic acids for the control of bacterial infection. Delivery of LNPs is achieved with the aid of “LNP-helpers”, yellow granules treated on the bacterial surface. The LNP is a novel antimicrobial platform that controls bacteria by delivering the CRISPR-Cas system as a weapon.
