Louis Vuitton has officially launched Le Café Louis Vuitton, its first culinary venture in the United States, and it’s redefining luxury dining in the heart of Manhattan. Nestled within the brand’s flagship at 6 East 57th Street, this elegant café brings together fashion, culture, and gourmet food under one stylish roof.

A collaboration with STARR Restaurants, the new café reflects Louis Vuitton’s continued commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and innovation. The café sits on the fourth floor of the store, surrounded by a warm library atmosphere filled with books curated to inspire meaningful dialogue around art, fashion, and design.

The culinary vision is led by Executive Chef Christophe Bellanca, a Michelin-starred talent known for his refined approach. Alongside him is Executive Pastry Chef Mary George, formerly of DANIEL, both working with French icons Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric, as well as STARR Restaurants’ founder Stephen Starr, to craft a world-class menu.

Le Café Louis Vuitton introduces the concept of “luxury snacking,” where classic French techniques meet modern New York sensibilities. The menu is an artful fusion of French signatures, international favorites, and original creations built on fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally.

Diners can indulge in dishes like Le Croque “Louis Paris,” a lavish take on the ham and cheese sandwich with Comté and black truffle. The braised black bass served with vongole bouillon and the scallop soufflé with caviar and champagne beurre blanc elevate the experience with finesse and flavor.

To honor the local palate, there’s even a Louis Vuitton twist on the classic New York burger, adding to the café’s universal appeal. The menu stays approachable while still embodying sophistication and originality, capturing the spirit of both the brand and the city.

Desserts are equally impressive, with each item crafted to spark personal memories. From hazelnut gâteau inspired by traditional noisette entremets to a vanilla cake featuring rare beans from Tahiti and Madagascar, the offerings are designed to enchant every guest.

Chef Mary George’s pear tart is a seasonal highlight, showcasing roasted spiced fruit baked into a rich buttery pastry. These desserts do more than satisfy cravings—they invite diners into a deeper sensory journey tied to the Louis Vuitton legacy.

Executive Chef Christophe Bellanca describes the café as a celebration of approachable luxury. His goal is to create a dining experience that resonates with New Yorkers and international visitors alike through memorable dishes and heartfelt hospitality.

Executive Pastry Chef Mary George adds that Le Café Louis Vuitton is more than a place to eat—it’s a space for connection, warmth, and unforgettable dessert moments. Her passion for emotional storytelling through food is evident in every sweet bite.

The ambiance of Le Café Louis Vuitton is a tribute to intellectual and cultural exploration. Its curated library of over 600 titles was organized by editor Ian Luna and includes works by local artists, Louis Vuitton Editions, and global contributors. Guests are encouraged to immerse themselves in topics ranging from architecture and fashion to food and society.

Open seven days a week, Le Café Louis Vuitton welcomes diners from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Reservations can be made online at Lecafelvnyc.com, where guests can also explore the café’s full menu and story.

This new venture is a continuation of Louis Vuitton’s broader push into hospitality and lifestyle. Known for embracing global cultures and experiences, the brand is using Le Café Louis Vuitton to bring its vision of elevated living to a new audience in an unexpected, but welcome, way.

Louis Vuitton’s journey into the culinary world is not without precedent. Its restaurants in St. Tropez and other fashion-forward destinations have already made waves, but this marks the first time American guests can taste the Maison’s gourmet ambitions up close.

STARR Restaurants, led by celebrated restaurateur Stephen Starr, brings decades of industry excellence to the partnership. Known for award-winning establishments like Le Coucou and Buddakan, the group ensures that the experience matches Louis Vuitton’s unparalleled standards.

As a fashion house that has always married artistry with function, Louis Vuitton’s entry into fine dining feels like a natural evolution. By blending haute cuisine with curated design and heartfelt hospitality, Le Café Louis Vuitton isn’t just another restaurant opening—it’s a cultural statement.

With an atmosphere that invites exploration, dishes that surprise the senses, and a deep respect for New York’s diverse culinary landscape, Le Café Louis Vuitton is poised to become one of the city’s most exciting new dining destinations.
