Jimmy John’s Launches New Lemon Sunshine Cookie To Capture the ‘Sunny Spirit’ of Summer
Jimmy John's is launching a new Lemon Sunshine Cookie for those with a sweet tooth this summer.
Jimmy John’s has cultivated a reputation for its main menu offerings of toasted sandwiches and satisfying wraps, but now the chain has announced a sweet treat aimed at luring in customers looking for a summer-inspired snack.
According to a June 2 Jimmy John’s press release, the red-and-black brand has launched its Lemon Sunshine Cookie nationwide as of today. The cookie features a distinctly tart lemon flavor and is full of creamy white chocolate chips to add a bit of sweetness to the mix.
And while the sandwich chain does typically offer a few dessert options, this is the first new cookie flavor to be introduced in 2025.
“Summer is all about fresh flavors and fun moments, and our Lemon Sunshine Cookie delivers on both,” said Kate Carpenter, marketing VP at Jimmy John’s.
“It’s bold, bright, and perfectly captures the sunny spirit of the season. We’re excited to bring guests something new that truly tastes like summer,” she added.
The Lemon Sunshine cookie joins the more traditional chocolate chip cookie and oatmeal raisin cookie on JJ’s menus, alongside the option of an equally enticing fudge chocolate brownie. The newest cookie comes in above all others in terms of calorie count, however — at 420 calories, versus the chocolate chip cookie (410 calories), oatmeal raisin cookie (370 calories), and brownie (350 calories) — so you might want to schedule a gym appointment if you do decide to splurge.
Jimmy John’s Playful Promos Becoming a Trend
This latest cookie reveal follows in the footsteps of an earlier, somewhat cheeky, promo coming from Jimmy John’s earlier this year.
In April, according to NRN, the chain launched a 4/20 deal titled the “T.H.C Combo,” or Toasted Hot Combo box. Priced at $14.68 for the combo, which included a Jimmy John’s toasted sandwich, a bag of Jimmy Chips, a pickle spear, and a dessert pairing, this combo was advertised as the perfect way to satisfy those munchies, no matter what time of day they might strike.
