Japan’s clothing imports rise 19.6% to $2.4 bn in Jan 2025
Japan’s clothing and accessories imports rose by 19.6 per cent to 369,408 million yen (~$2.435 billion), while textile yarn and fabric imports increased by 17.9 per cent. In 2024, total clothing imports grew by 3.5 per cent, whereas textile yarn and fabric imports declined by 0.4 per cent. Fiscal 2023-24 saw a 1.7 per cent drop in clothing imports.
