Inn Express acquires Euroboozer assets
Independent drinks wholesaler Inn Express has acquired drinks distributor Euroboozer's core assets following its entry into administration. In a statement to the trade, Inn Express highlighted how Euroboozer has built “a strong reputation for importing and distributing exceptional beer, with a portfolio rooted in quality and character” and assured that Inn Express plans to “build on that, not change it”. Backed by Inn Express's infrastructure, the wholesaler stated that “Euroboozer customers will now benefit from broader availability and a wider spectrum of dedicated trade support”. This week, db revealed how Euroboozer had been having challenges keeping the business afloat and has since seen the Austrian beer brand Stiegl move across to become part of Cave Direct’s portfolio. The Inn Express team has noted how “this acquisition gives Euroboozer customers access to one of the trade’s widest and most carefully curated portfolios. From the biggest names in UK craft, to artisan soft drinks, award-winning world wines”. Speaking directly to the trade, the wholesaler insisted “whether you’re running a city bar focused on fresh keg, a country pub with a continental bottle list, or a restaurant seeking something different for your drink menu, our focus is on helping you serve quality drinks more profitably and efficiently”. To further reassure the sector, Inn Express reiterated how it is an independent, family-owned business and “can take a long-term view” and said that its focus is “to help our customers serve better drinks, make more margin, and access a level of service that makes their lives easier” and added: “Our focus is to make things simple, steady, and reliable for former Euroboozer customers and suppliers, backed by a team that understands the industry and values long-term relationships”. Speaking about the acquisition, Euroboozer director Martyn Railton said: "Throughout the past number of months, the focus for myself and some incredibly valued team members has been to protect jobs and maintain future business for customers and suppliers alike. We’ve known Inn Express for over 10 years now and we know that their values match ours, and then some. They’re all about people and customer service and we have always found common ground there." Railton explained: "With Inn Express at the helm, I know all of these aspects will be extremely well looked after for many years to come. This is not a process that anyone has enjoyed but we’re happy that all jobs have been protected and there will be further investment in people, infrastructure and product range to maintain and further elevate service levels to all involved.” Inn Express managing director Richard Hall added: “This move strengthens our nationwide reach and significantly enhances our existing service offering in London, the Southeast and the North – an area where we’ve long aimed to deliver the same level of reliability, range and trade support that has made us a go-to partner across the Midlands, South West and Wales”. Hall revealed that over the coming days, the Inn Express team will contact all customers and suppliers directly and confirmed: “We’ll help get customers set up with access to our website, where you can place orders for your existing lines and browse our wider portfolio, including world-class beer, wines, spirits, softs, and essentials.”
