India hopeful of soon finalising FTA with EU: Foreign ministry
India is hopeful of finalising an FTA with the EU soon. During the recent visit to India of the College of Commissioners, led by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, she and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to direct their teams to finalise the FTA within this year, said Tanmaya Lal, secretary, West, in the Ministry of External Affairs. The negotiations are under way.
