From The Return Of Calvin Klein To New Designers: What To Expect For New York Fashion Week 2025

It’s that time of year again. We’re only a few weeks into 2025, but the city of New York is gearing up for one of its most coveted times of the year – New York Fashion Week. The CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) has released the official schedule of designers presenting this season. From Tory Burch to Thom Browne, the schedule features a vast range of iconic designers we know and love, as well as new ones. Calvin Klein is set to return to New York Fashion Week this season after a six-and-a-half-year hiatus. Notably absent from this year’s schedule is Proenza Schouler, whose founders, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, recently announced their creative departure from the brand. New York Fashion Week is set to take place from Thursday, February 6th to Tuesday, February 11th, where designers will present their Fall/Winter 2025 collections.

Brandon Maxwell is set to kick off the week and the American collections while CFDA Chairman Thom Browne will close. The schedule features over 52 runway shows and presentations; highlighted returns include Anna Sui, Carolina Herrera, Christian Siriano, Collina Strada, Michael Kors, Khaite, and more. After a five-year absence from New York Fashion Week, Christopher John Rogers will return, closing out the first day. On Friday, February 7th, Calvin Klein will make its long-awaited return to the runway under new creative direction by Italian designer Veronica Leoni. Other highly-anticipated returns include Altuzarra on Sunday, February 9th at 11 am, as Joseph Altuzarra will be coming off paternity leave, and Norma Kamali, who has been off the schedule for over a decade, is set to show on Tuesday, February 11th. Theory, Forme, and Lapointe will also return this year.

Always presenting a boundary-pushing show, Collina Strada will showcase their collection on Thursday, February 6th at 6 pm. Beloved by A-listers and seen all over the red carpet this year, Carolina Herrera, helmed by creative director Wes Gordon, will showcase what’s expected to be a visually artistic and bold collection on Monday, February 10th at 10 am. American designer Tory Burch, who led the charge this past year when it came to setting the trend of pairing sporty, athletic-inspired wear with elevated tailored pieces to create a chic, utilitarian juxtaposition, will present her fall/winter 2025 collection on Monday, February 10th at 7 pm.

First-time additions to the schedule include designers Alexis Bittar and Gabe Gordon, Leblancstudios by Yamil Arbaje and Angelo Beato, Vettese, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. Aside from Proenza Schouler, other notable absences include Area, Widerhoeft, and Melitta Baumeister.
