In article 2403842, Ki Wan Bong and co-workers show a microfluidic-based drug efficacy evaluation system that assesses mechanical property changes in 3D spheroid models of pulmonary fibrosis. Before drug treatment (left), fibrotic spheroids induced by TGF-β stimulation exhibit increased stiffness. After drug treatment (right), FDA-approved drugs ameliorate fibrosis-related mechanical changes, restoring spheroid deformability. This mechanobiology-driven approach enables quantitative deformability analysis for fibrosis therapy evaluation.
