Egypt’s MOPCO & thyssenkrupp Uhde partner to advance sustainable urea
MOPCO has selected thyssenkrupp Uhde to upgrade its ammonia and urea plants in Egypt with carbon capture and green hydrogen solutions. The revamp will cut CO2 emissions by 145,000 t/year and boost ammonia production by 150 mtpd per plant using advanced uhde cartridges. MOPCO aims to produce 150,000 t/year of green ammonia, reinforcing its role as a leader in sustainable fertiliser production.
