Carnival Cruise Line Introduces New Ticketless Shore Excursion System
Carnival Cruise Line is modernizing its shore excursion system.

Carnival Cruise Line has modernized its shore excursion system for a new digital age.
According to TravelPulse by Northstar, the popular cruise line has been testing a new mobile application for its shore excursion system, in conjunction with some of its digital partners.
Thanks to the digital platform, which also offers improved functionality, physical shore excursion tickets are no longer necessary. The business is testing the app with a few tour operator partners in certain Bahamas and Caribbean locations after successfully integrating the platform in Australia earlier this year.
Carnival Cruise Line intends to use the app for all shore excursions on Grand Bahama by the time its private destination Celebration Key opens on July 19. By the end of this year, the new platform will be completely operational in Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. Additionally, it will be accessible on cruises to Europe and Alaska beginning the summer of next year.
In the future, visitors can use their Sail & Sign card to sign up for shore excursions. The new platform will also connect with Carnival’s HUB App to give passengers a digital confirmation and crucial information, such as meeting times and locations.
Carnival Cruise Line Recently Banned Passengers for Life
While this development is certainly exciting for Carnival Cruise Line customers, more than 20 will not be able to enjoy it after the company banned them for life following a brawl in Galveston, Texas.
A large throng was seen pushing and punching one another in a video that social media users shared of the brawl. Carnival Cruise Lines told the Houston Chronicle in a statement that the fight happened in a debarkation area under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, but the cause of the altercation is unknown.
Following the matter being transferred to law enforcement, 24 individuals were placed on Carnival’s Do Not Sail List. In a statement, Carnival declared, “We will not tolerate such behavior.”
The altercation is seen on camera as several people pursue a man in a white T-shirt as he makes his way from the luggage recovery area at the debarkation point to what appears to be a tunnel leading to the ship or another room.
The man turns to fight the people behind him, especially another man in a white T-shirt. This man retaliates against the initial man. The fight ultimately devolves into a full-fledged brawl in which additional people kick and strike one another, although it still appears mainly to focus on the two original males.
