BASF invests in future-ready alcoholates plant in Ludwigshafen
BASF is investing a mid-double-digit million-euro amount in a new alcoholates plant in Germany, set to start in late 2027. Replacing the existing facility, it will produce sodium and potassium methylate for biodiesel, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture. The investment enhances BASF’s global competitiveness and supply reliability, supporting the growing life sciences and biodiesel markets.
