Australia’s inflation eases slightly as electricity prices dip
Australia’s CPI rose 2.4 per cent in the year to February 2025, easing from 2.5 per cent in January, as per ABS. Trimmed mean inflation was 2.7 per cent. Electricity prices fell 13.2 per cent annually, aided by rebates. In Victoria, the third rebate installment began mid-January, contributing to a 2.5 per cent national electricity price drop in February.
