Bangladesh's PMI in May rose by 6 points from April to reach 58.9. The reading was attributed to a faster rate of expansion in the agriculture, manufacturing and services sectors, whereas the construction sector saw no change. The manufacturing sector posted its ninth month of expansion in a row, and at a faster rate. It saw expansion in most indexes except for the order backlogs index.
