Australian wool season closes flat, but cardings & crossbreds gain

Australia’s 2024-25 wool selling season ended flat, with the Eastern Market Indicator unchanged in both US and Australian dollars. Despite this, carding and crossbred types gained 5–20ac, and Fremantle added 15ac. Merino fleece prices dipped 5–10ac, especially for lower-quality and drought-affected lots. Chinese topmakers dominated buying, while RWS-certified clips outperformed.
