Yes, I shot video with the X3 M50 in South Carolina, the home of BMW in the US back in November. But now I have spent a week living with the new 2025 BMW X3 M50. So this is the high performance, the M of the small X3 family SUV, and I've loved it. It makes some great sounds. I'll make sure I'll get some of those sounds on this video for you guys. It sounds great. It drives great. It's easy to park. It handles fantastic. It looks great. This is Vegas red metallic. We've got beautiful big 21 inch wheels on here. I love the black wheels with the red performance brake calipers. We've got our M badging throughout. We've got a really vibrant, crazy bright interior. I love BMW color combos. They're very brave or bold, I guess is a better word for it. We have the flush door handles. For 2025, the X3 got bigger all around, so it is quite a bit bigger than the outgoing gen, and it has some new tech inside. Let's go for a drive.

Yes, this M50 has some great sounds, some snap crackle pops, and yes some of the in -cabin sound is augmented so it's not all just coming from the engine, but that's okay. I enjoy it anyway. This is a twin -turbo inline six -cylinder plus a mild hybrid with a combined 404 horsepower and 487 pound -feet of torque. It's an eight -speed automatic transmission and it can tow up to 4 ,850 pounds. Again I've mentioned how much I've enjoyed having this for the week. It's a really great SUV. It's a lot of fun to drive. It's bigger so it's a good fit for families. If you want to go up to the X5, the X5 has just like a little more luxury, a little more space, of course a bigger price tag, but this X3 perfect size in my opinion for a performance SUV. The back of the X3 M50 looks a lot more substantial than the regular X3 because we have a bigger lower bumper and we have quad exhaust on here. They're huge actually as you can see that the regular X3 does not get. So the back end looks quite a bit different

and if you want to see what I'm talking about I actually do a side -by -side on my last video I'll link it below when I had the M50 and the regular X3 30 side -by -side in South Carolina. Lots of room back here we have a privacy shade the seats fold down individually which I love because it just gives you so much more flexibility with your cargo you could put you know skis and whatever in the middle and still have two passengers. We have a beautiful M key for this X3. This whole area is new and we have two big cupholders, a wireless charging pad, two USB -C chargers. We have vents that are kind of funky to move around and our opening is kind of digital, like touch sensitive. It is tri -zone climate control, big piece of glass for driver display and touchscreen. It is wireless CarPlay, but I will say it's been glitching for me quite a bit this week where it won't connect to my phone easily with the CarPlay. We have three different drive modes, personal, sport, and efficient. I've been driving
00:03:51 Speaker 2
in sport mode. It is the most fun for sure. It changes the screen, it changes the ambient lighting. We've got more red and it's just a really cool sporty interior. We even have a sportier steering wheel with a flat bottom, M badging and the M colors on the stitching with the red here. Even the head -up display, which I know is hard to see on video, but even the head -up display changes its graphics when you put it in sport mode. We have some ambient lighting here, cool door handle, our memory seating here, lock and unlock, and our vent control here as well. And again, this Harman Kardon sound system is excellent. And then we've got some cool lighting in here, which I think is really neat. This is the beautiful amber and gray leather option. It is an additional option, and I've heard several opinions from my kids and family this week that they do not like it, but I like it. I like this color. It's really bold, it's really different, and if you love it, I don't think you would get sick of
00:05:05 Speaker 2
it. If you're on the fence, you might get sick of it. Huge panoramic sunroof that does not open, but it does have a privacy shade. Center armrest with two cup holders. We even have window shades in here. The Harman Kardon sound system is fantastic we have cup holders in the door we have some netting for pockets and then these are for accessories you can buy so like a coat hook or an entertainment system or a device holder you can buy those to put in here rear vents rear climate control and heated seats back here and two USB C chargers and then we do have this hump here making your middle passenger space here a little more limited. So this fourth generation X3 is all new. As I mentioned it's bigger, has more tech, different interior, it looks great, got a styling refresh, it looks really good in my opinion, and I love this M50. It's just so much fun to drive. The base X3 is a four -cylinder and this one is significantly more powerful, making it more fun to drive. But you can get it an X3

starting around 63 ,000 Canadian or around 50 ,000 US dollars. This one as spec'd with the Vegas red metallic, the upgraded leather, it also has the premium package, the M Sport Pro package and these 21 inch wheels. So total for this one as spec'd 90 ,550 Canadian dollars or about 73 ,000 US dollars if I packaged it correctly on the U .S. website. Again the BMW Canada and U .S. do package out their options a little bit differently so I can't always get it exactly the same. But what do you think?
