US to see real GDP growth of 1.7% in 2025, 1.6% in 2026: S&P Global
S&P Global Ratings has forecast below-potential US real GDP growth of 1.7 per cent in 2025 and 1.6 per cent in 2026 as growth is restrained by slower population growth, tariffs, government cost-cutting, lower immigration and an uncertain operating environment for many businesses. It foresees core CPI of 3-3.5 per cent by 2025 end and feels the economy’s resilience will wear a little thin in H2 2025.
