US, Sri Lanka agree to expedite planned bilateral trade agreement
As a Sri Lankan delegation met US trade representative Jamieson Greer recently in Washington D.C. to discuss reciprocal tariffs, both sides agreed to continue discussions aimed at finalising a bilateral trade agreement in the shortest possible duration. It highlighted Colombo’s prompt commitment to work with the US government in reducing trade deficit and lowering tariff and non-tariff barriers.
