Japan’s emergency economic measures to counter impact of US tariffs
Ahead of a second round of bilateral trade negotiations with the US scheduled for next week, Japan yesterday announced a package of emergency economic measures to counter the adverse impact of higher US reciprocal tariffs. The package includes support for corporate financing, steps to stimulate consumption, reducing gasoline and diesel prices and subsidies for energy bills.
