The most expensive cocktail in the world has just been auctioned off for a whopping, world record-breaking price tag of $41,160 — but who broke it, and with what?

That would be NAHATÉ Dubai, a family-run fine dining restaurant, cocktail bar, night club and private membership club located in the DIFC podium level.

The cocktail itself was crafted with none other than Patron tequila, but a never-before-sold, special-edition tequila blend created exclusively for the world’s most luxurious cocktail which was served in one of the rarest 1937 Baccarat crystal glasses ever crafted (there are only two in existence). The winning bidder took home the rare tequila blend and the exquisite 1937 Baccarat crystal.

To honor the prestige of this creation, the cocktail was expertly crafted and served by Salvatore “The Maestro” Calabrese, one of the world’s most revered bartenders. Renowned for creating another previous “world’s most expensive cocktail” at The Playboy Club in Mayfair (valued at $7,100 USD per glass), Calabrese has also curated Salvatore’s Legacy, the oldest cocktail ever mixed, containing rare liqueurs with a combined age of 730 years. His expertise ensured that the cocktail was not merely a drink, but an experience of unrivaled distinction.

The Baccarat Service Leczinska crystal glasses are also works of art, from  embody the avant-garde spirit and excellence of the Maison, created for the 1937 International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Modern Life in Paris. They were named in tribute to Queen Marie Leszczyńska, wife of Louis XV, and pay homage to Baccarat’s royal heritage, as it was King Louis XV who granted permission to establish the Baccarat Manufacture in 1764.
