Seasonally-adjusted US CPI-U drops 0.1% in Mar; apparel index up
The US consumer price index for all urban consumers (CPI-U) decreased by 0.1 per cent on a seasonally adjusted basis in March after rising by 0.2 per cent in February, the Bureau of Labour Statistics said. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased by 2.4 per cent before seasonal adjustment. The index for apparel increased over the month, while that for energy fell by 2.4 per cent.
