WASHINGTON — The Health and Human Services Department is set to slash 10,000 jobs and streamline authorities under its secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The agency announced the restructuring plans on Thursday as part of broader Trump administration efforts to reduce the federal workforce and cut costs. HHS claimed that laying off 10,000 federal workers across its divisions would save $1.8 billion and “serve multiple goals without impacting critical services.”
