Raising Cane’s Is Launching 6 Restaurants in June. Here’s the List

Popular chicken-focused restaurant Raising Cane’s is opening six more locations. The new restaurants are coming to Connecticut, Massachusetts, Illinois, Ohio, Mississippi, and Kansas. With these openings, Raising Cane’s will have locations in four new markets.

Currently, the Louisiana-based chain operates over 800 restaurants in 42 states. Last year, Raising Cane’s set a company record with 118 new restaurants.

“As we expand across the world, we’re continually looking at global destinations and popular cities in which to open Raising Cane’s,” a company spokesperson said, per The U.S. Sun.

While Raising Cane’s is rapidly opening new restaurants, many rivals are closing up shop. As more and more Americans choose to eat at home as dining out becomes more expensive, many large and iconic restaurant chains have been unable to adjust to lower sales and rising costs.

Known as “America’s Diner,” Denny’s closed 88 restaurants last year. Recent reports indicate at least another 100 will be shuttered by year’s end.

Where Is Raising Cane’s Expanding?

Raising Cane’s is clearly doing something right. Here is the list of upcoming openings:

  • Massachusetts (opened June 3, 2025): 799 Broadway, Saugus
  • Illinois (opened June 3, 2025): 6401 95th St., Chicago Ridge
  • Mississippi (opening June 10, 2025): 357 Goodman Road W., Southaven
  • Connecticut (opening June 24, 2025): 1298 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield
  • Kansas (opening June 24, 2025): 350 S. Ridge Road, Wichita
  • Ohio (opening June 24, 2025): 720 N. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario

The company’s founder, Todd Graves, has big plans for the chicken chain. Speaking at a conference last year, Graves revealed a bold growth initiative.

“Our next aspiration is to be a top 10 restaurant brand in the U.S. Think of the big boys – McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Starbucks, Subway – companies that have been open a lot longer than we have,” Graves said, per Nation’s Restaurant News.

Being a private company, Raising Cane’s does not release financials. However, Forbes was able to obtain sales figures from the chicken chain, which showed 2024 sales of $5.1 billion. Breaking it down even further, each location generates about $5.7 million in sales on average.

To keep prices in check, the Raising Cane’s menu stays limited to mostly chicken and other low-cost items. Its menu is essentially a combination of chicken finger meals with sides like coleslaw, fries, Texas toast, and, of course, the famous Cane’s sauce.
