OECD inflation holds at 4.7% in January 2025

Year-on-year inflation in OECD countries remained at 4.7 per cent in January 2025, unchanged from November and December 2024. Inflation rose in 15 OECD countries, with notable increases in Austria, Belgium, and Luxembourg due to energy costs. Türkiye’s inflation fell but stayed above 40 per cent. G7 inflation was stable at 2.9 per cent, euro area at 2.5 per cent, and G20 at 5.0 per cent.
