Nike delays launch of new Skims activewear brand

Nike has pushed back the launch of its new women’s activewear brand in partnership with Kim Kardashian’s Skims.

The brand, which was due to release its first collection this Spring, is understood to be facing production delays, Bloomberg reported.

Sources told the outlet that Nike still expects to release NikeSkims this year, although it is unclear when the first products will be available to purchase and what the collection will include.

The sportswear giant’s chief executive Elliott Hill had told investors in March that the launch of a “comprehensive collection” would be available before the end of May.

It was reported that the new collaboration, which has been in the works since October 2023, aims to offer women’s training apparel, and eventually footwear and accessories, tailored for high-intensity workouts.

The initial drop is due to be available on both Nike’s and Skims’ websites, as well as select retail stores across the United States. A global rollout is expected to follow in 2026.
