M&S slashes delivery times as more third-party brands return online
M&S has reintroduced a wider selection of third-party brands to its website as it continues to recover from the major cyber attack that crippled its ecommerce platform in April.

M&S has reintroduced a wider selection of third-party brands to its website as it continues to recover from the major cyber attack that crippled its website in April.
Brands including Adidas, Columbia, Lilybod, Girlfriend Collective, New Balance, Asics and Under Armour are now back online, alongside gifting categories such as flowers, hampers and letterbox gifts, which are available for nominated day delivery.
The high street giant has also reduced standard home delivery times from ten days to five for customers in England, Scotland and Wales, as it gradually restores services that were halted for nearly six weeks.
M&S paused all online orders on 25 April after the attack struck during the key Easter trading period.
The business has since warned the incident could cost it up to £300m in group operating profit this year, although it expects to offset half of the losses through insurance and cost efficiencies.
Further brands from M&S’s third-party roster — which includes Dune, Ghost and Monsoon — are expected to return in the coming weeks as the retailer works to get its full online offer back up and running.
The latest recovery efforts come as M&S technology partner Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recently denied any responsibility for the breach.
TCS, which signed a $1bn tech overhaul contract with M&S in 2023, said “no TCS systems or users were compromised” and insisted other clients were unaffected.
M&S previously confirmed that hackers had accessed customer contact details and dates of birth, but not passwords or payment information. The attack, claimed by the DragonForce hacking group, is understood to have originated via human error at a third-party contractor.
