Nobody’s Child is expanding into resale with ecommerce giant Ebay and pre-loved fashion company Reskinned.
Over the past month, Nobody’s Child has been collecting donations, including pieces from its own team, which are now available for customers to shop exclusively on Ebay with Reskinned.
The brand said that pairing Ebay’s reach to its millions of customers with Reskinned’s expertise in garment repair, resale and recycling would help extend the lifecycle of its garments and support its circular fashion model.
It added that the initiative underscored its commitment to circular fashion and reducing textile waste, while giving shoppers an “easy, rewarding way to keep fashion out of landfill”.
Nobody’s Child CEO Jody Plows said: “Our mission has always been to design beautiful clothes with a conscience.
“By partnering with Reskinned and Ebay, we’re taking that promise even further giving our customers the power to contribute to a circular fashion economy.”
Ebay global head of pre-loved fashion Kirsty Keoghan added: “The pre-loved fashion market is booming, fueled by savvy Gen Z shoppers looking for high quality pieces at great prices.
“By bringing an incredible brand like Nobody’s Child onto the Ebay marketplace, we’re demonstrating how we’re making circularity for fashion more accessible – for both brands, and for buyers.”
The initiative marks the latest addition to Nobody’s Child’s circular business model.
In January, the brand teamed up with Reskinned to launch a takeback scheme, designed to give clothes “another shot at life” after shoppers are finished with them. The scheme accepts “pieces in any condition”, the retailer said.
