JetBlue boosts luggage tracking with AirTag connectivity and new app functionality
JetBlue has announced new features to help passengers track their luggage and locate baggage when it goes missing. The airline is now utilising Apple’s ‘Share Item Location’ feature in Apple’s Find My app, meaning that passengers who store an Apple AirTag in their luggage can securely share the AirTag location with JetBlue, creating greater tracking visibility. This is done by generating a link in the Find My app and sharing it with JetBlue, allowing the airline to “help locate and retrieve bags found within JetBlue stations or other contracted facilities.” Additionally, JetBlue has introduced a new feature in its mobile app that lets passengers track luggage in real-time, complementing the existing tracking updates by email that are already available.
