Dual-Enhanced Nanohybrids for Synergistic Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy in Cancer Treatment with Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors (Adv. Healthcare Mater. 11/2025)

Photothermal Therapy of Nanohybrids

The nanohybrids, consisting of a conjugated polymer donor, acceptor, and gold nanoparticles, demonstrate dual-enhanced photothermal and photodynamic effects for tumor ablation. Energy and charge transfer from the photosensitized donor to the gold nanoparticles and acceptor improve nonradiative exciton relaxation and reactive oxygen species production, respectively, establishing a promising nanoplatform for phototherapy in cancer treatment combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors.
