THE WHAT? The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) has launched ConsumerIQ, a new AI tool built with Microsoft to improve the way its teams access and apply internal data for beauty product development and marketing.
THE DETAILS ConsumerIQ was developed using Microsoft Copilot Studio and runs on Azure OpenAI Service. It connects and analyzes information across nearly 25 global ELC beauty brands, turning PDFs, spreadsheets, and presentations into instant strategic insights via a natural language chat interface.
The tool replaces manual data gathering that previously took weeks, allowing teams to identify trends and make decisions in minutes. ConsumerIQ is now being used across ELC to help teams bring new personal care products to market faster and tailor campaigns to current consumer behavior.
THE WHY? As ELC manages an expansive portfolio and large volumes of consumer and market data, the company needs tools that can keep pace with the speed of the beauty industry.
