[Comment] Special issue on neurology: call for papers

Neurological disorders are the leading cause of disease burden, affecting more than 3 billion people worldwide, and the second leading cause of death.1 The burden of neurological disorders is increasingly recognised as a public health challenge, which will only increase in the coming decades due to population ageing. Important advances have been seen in recent years in diagnosis and understanding of pathology underlying neurodegenerative diseases, with the first disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease now approved in some regions of the world.
