THE WHAT? Cécred and the BeyGOOD Foundation, founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, have launched the 2025 Cécred x BeyGOOD Fund, returning for its second year with a US$500,000 commitment to support salon owners, barbers, and aspiring cosmetologists nationwide.
THE DETAILS The expanded Fund allocates US$370,000 in US$10,000 business grants to 37 salon and barbershop owners facing financial hardship, providing not only funding but also business development tools, mentorship, and access to Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification resources through the National Minority Supplier Development Council. An additional US$130,000 in scholarships will be awarded to students at five selected cosmetology schools, chosen for their focus on inclusivity, community impact, and academic strength. Applications for the business grants are now open through June 13, and Cécred is simultaneously launching its new Pro Program, offering professional-size products, exclusive education, and networking opportunities for stylists.
THE WHY? Recognizing the central role stylists and salons play as cultural hubs and economic drivers, Cécred and BeyGOOD are doubling down on their commitment to elevate the beauty industry from the ground up. This initiative not only reflects Beyoncé’s passion for empowering entrepreneurs and creatives but also addresses critical gaps in access to capital, education, and resources for underrepresented beauty professionals. By investing directly in both established salons and the next generation of hair experts, the program aims to strengthen the professional beauty ecosystem and foster long-term growth across the US.
