Amazon slashes prices on household items for new sales event

Amazon is launching a new sales event, Everyday Essentials Week, offering shoppers up to 40% off household staples across grocery, health and personal care, beauty and pet categories.

Running from 21 to 27 May, the online giant‘s new promotion will feature deals from leading brands including Andrex, Fairy, Flash, Gillette Venus and WaterWipes. Customers will also be able to save up to 30% on grocery favourites from Cadbury, Nestlé and Twinings.

The discounts will be available to all UK customers, with Prime members eligible for free delivery and same-day delivery available in over 80 towns and cities across the UK.

Amazon said the event will offer savings “on products for every room of the home, and for every member of the family – from baby wipes, shampoo, and toilet roll, to coffee pods, pet food, and fabric softener.”



Shoppers will also be able to access discounts on Amazon’s own-brand lines, with up to 15% off ranges including Amazon Basics and Amazon Essentials.

Customers can track deals by subscribing to deal alert notifications or adding items to a WishList for updates.

Groceries will be available through a variety of Amazon’s services, including Amazon Fresh online and in stores, Whole Foods Market, and partnerships with Co-op, Iceland and Morrisons.

Earlier this month, the online marketplace also launched its ultra-low-priced Haul proposition in the UK in a bid to take on Temu.

Customers will be able to shop thousands of products across fashion, home and lifestyle for £20 or less, with the majority priced under £10.
