White Stuff names trading director as new MD

White Stuff has appointed its trading director Tracey Verghese as its new managing director, with immediate effect.

Having served as trading director for six years, Verghese led the brand’s commercial strategy across all channels and third-party partnerships.

The executive helped to transform White Stuff into a “modern, commercially agile business,” which drove “significant growth in sales and profit,” expanded market share, and accelerated its presence across new channels, according to the retailer.

Verghese previously spent 16 years at Marks and Spencer across a range of senior merchandising and trading roles.

She initially joined White Stuff as its merchandising director in 2018, before working her way up to trading director.

Verghese said: “After six incredible years growing with this business, it’s an honour for me to step into the role of managing director.

“White Stuff is in a great position with a unique brand and product offering, and I’m proud to lead such a talented team, supported by the wider expertise of TFG London.”

Earlier this month, White Stuff CEO Jo Jenkins departed from the company after seven years in the role, following the fashion retailer’s acquisition by TFG London last October.

Jenkins, who joined the business in 2018 from M&S, where she was director of clothing and beauty, left the fashion brand “to pursue new opportunities.”
