Vietnam’s exports up 14% YoY, imports up 17.5% in Jan-May 2025

Vietnam’s total trade reached $355.79 billion in January-May 2025—up by 15.7 per cent YoY. Exports grew by 14 per cent YoY to $180.23 billion, while imports rose by 17.5 per cent YoY to $175.56 billion in the period, leading to a trade surplus. The US was the largest export market, while China was the largest import partner. Import of textile and footwear materials and fabrics also saw YoY growth.
