Versalis unveils Hoop Demo plant in Mantua for chemical recycling
Versalis, Eni’s chemical arm, unveiled its Hoop demo plant in Mantua for chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste into new feedstock. Developed with SRS, it uses pyrolysis and AI for high-yield recovery. Processing 6,000 t/year, it paves the way for a 40,000-tonne plant in Priolo. SC-HOOP won EU Innovation Fund support and will feature at Expo 2025.
