The Perfume Shop is introducing two boutique stores to the UK this summer as part of its continued expansion.
The new stores located at Brent Cross Shopping Centre, London and Lakeside Shopping Centre, Thurrock, are designed to make luxury perfumes more accessible and will offer shoppers “high quality and niche perfumes” in a more “personalised and exclusive shopping experience”.
The stores are set to feature a selection of high-end brands, including Contes de Parfums, Hugh Parsons, and Laboratorio Olfattivo.
The retailer, which recently saw sales spike over Mother’s Day, said the opening of its boutique stores came in response to evolving consumer preferences and aligned with a growing consumer interest in niche and personalised perfumes.
Recent studies indicated that the global luxury niche perfume market is projected to grow from $1.77bn (£1.31bn) in 2025 to $3.03bn (£2.24bn) by 2033.
The Perfume Shop managing director Gill Smith said: “The launch of our two boutique stores mark a pivotal moment for The Perfume Shop. This concept is a bold step forward in our mission to bring the world of luxury and niche perfumes to a wider audience, while still delivering the expertise, accessibility, and service we’re known for.
“We know customers are increasingly looking for more personalised and premium scent experiences, and these new spaces allow them to truly explore and connect with perfume in a unique and elevated way. It’s an exciting evolution for our business and one that we’re proud to lead as we continue to grow and innovate.”
In February, The Perfume Shop revealed it was set to expand its partnership with Deliveroo after more than 1,000 bottles of fragrance were delivered over the golden quarter.
The fragrance specialist said it was extending the service to further locations over 2025, following the success of its initial tie-up.
