QOTD: Is Anyone Who Isn't A Fleet Manager Buying Basic Trucks?

I often hear folks lament the high price of feature-laden pickup trucks. Yet while it seems that there would be a desire for cheaper trucks that provided creature comforts without going overboard on expensive frills, it seems to me that basic trucks are still mostly purchased by cost-conscious fleets.

I often hear folks lament the high price of feature-laden pickup trucks.

Yet while it seems that there would be a desire for cheaper trucks that provided creature comforts without going overboard on expensive frills, it seems to me that basic trucks are still mostly purchased by cost-conscious fleets.


So, is there a market for modest-equipped trucks that doesn't involve fleets? if you're a truck buyer, would you buy something like the next Ram Express? Or are you, however reluctantly, shelling out for something with all the bells and whistles?
